Happpppyyyyyy Holidayssssss my friends! Finally, it’s cold and snowy here in New England. Winter is my favorite season. I love the cranberries, the trees looking like they are dusted in powdered sugar and yes, the cold! As Christmas approaches, I wanted to think of a craft the kids could do without much supervision. No glue guns or lighters required! This is quick, cheap AND it’s cute enough to actually wear! These make great ornaments, teacher’s gifts and keepsakes. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
SUPPLIES
Dominos OR wood blocks (Tumbling Tower game at the Dollar tree)
Decorative images (free download below), photos, wrapping paper, cards, etc.
Plain paper
Mod Podge
E6000 Glue or permanent glue
Clear Sealer (spray paint, nail polish or Ranger Glossy Accents)
Glue on bails (Ribbon also works)
*OPTIONAL*
Glitter, rhinestones, etc for decorating
As usual, I bought enough supplies for about 50 people. I just ordered you all some flat dominos without the dots today too! So, email, text or call me if you need anything. It’s free for Mass Appeal viewers! All I need is your address and I promise not to spam you. This is just for fun, no marketing silliness. Info@fancythatantiques 413-512-3714
- I will be shipping out your boxes in about 5 days when the flat dominos get here, so text and remind me what you want!
INSTRUCTIONS
Paint the domino with Mod Podge or white glue. On both sides, cover the domino with heavy paper and seal with Mod Podge. Wait until it’s completely dry to do the next step. Paint Mod Podge over the white paper and place the decorative images on top. Then, seal with another layer of Mod Podge. Once dry, cut around the outside so the image fits perfectly. You can also use a fingernail file for a softer edge. Paint the sides with metallic paint, permanent metallic marker or nail polish. Glue on bail with permanent glue or use a screw in bail. Glue on bails work best and won’t crack the wood. You can dust glitter over the paint and seal with clear polish if you wish. Seal both sides with 1-2 coats of clear polish and allow to dry completely. For a high gloss look, use Glossy Accents by Ranger and allow to dry. Pop any bubbles with a pin and place on a flat surface to dry. You can dust a tiny bit of glitter over the wet Glossy Accents too. You can add rhinestones to the sides with permanent glue. Here are the cord necklaces I ordered for us. Let me know if you want me to mail you a few free of charge. (MA residents only) Everyone else pays $5.00 for shipping. Finished product
You can also use photographs of family members and write a holiday message on the back. You can use gold leaf on the sides for a more professional look. Aluminum or copper foil tape is also a great option. The sky is the limit on these little pendants.

Here is the free download so you can just print, cut and be done! If it doesn’t print full size, email me and I’ll send it to you. The top 3 rows are not exact so they will need to be trimmed. The bottom row will fit perfectly on a 1.5x.75″ domino. If you need a 1×2″ size, let me know and I’ll see what I have.

My goal with these projects is to show you the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to make something cute. After all, I’m a busy Mom and I assume many of you are too. Everything I use is usually from the dollar store, Amazon or ebay.
I will see you all the first Friday in January. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family. Let me know if I can help you with anything. Thanks to all of you who sold me your unwanted jewelry items this fall. I sold a bunch of things and gave the rest to our favorite Juvenile Hall charity. All the sales go to helping save at risk teenagers, so that’s a blessing. Keep in touch!
Stay warm and sparkly,
Malena
