    Wedding Tiaras, Veils and Headbands

    Fashion Tips with Malena Chipps

On this episode of Mass Appeal we will be showing you different styles of accessories to wear for your wedding. You have many styles to choose from tiaras, veils, clips, combs, sprays and flowers.

First, decide on your style of dress and coordinate everything around that. Remember, this is YOUR big day. You will look at the photos forever so wear what you like.

If your dress is simple without a lot of embellishments, you can go for a bold head piece. If you want that princess look like I did, you can choose a big rhinestone tiara AND a big dress. One fantastic thing about weddings is, anything goes. (Explaining that to your mother/grandmother may be difficult however. )

Here are a few DIY ideas to help you achieve that high fashion look at a fraction of the price.

    Casual Beach

If you love the beach and sun kissed skin, this is a great look for you. You can buy some sea shells and glue them on to a headband and paint them white.

    Retro Glam

This look can be achieved by gluing old brooches onto hair combs.

    Traditional

Tiaras are easy to find but finding a classic one that looks just right is hard. I would say, buy a new one and age it with hydrogen peroxide or some dark enamel paint. It will take off that shiny “new” look and make the tiara more elegant. I did this with mine using Liver of Sulpher.

    Pagan New Age

You can achieve this look by buying some beading wire and shaping it into a V, then add some beads. This is an easy project that will cost less than $20. (I have HUNDREDS of pounds of beads, pearls, etc. I’m happy to share them with you at my cost. Just let me know what you need and I’ll send you a package.)

    Understated Elegance

This look can be easily obtained by bobby pinning a necklace into your hair or gluing a vintage rhinestone necklace onto a headband.

    Classic High Fashion

Jackie Kennedy would be proud! You can buy the high fashion version or make one using beading wire and pearls. I make one for the show using genuine pearls. I will show you how to make this one. It took less than 15 minutes!

    Renaissance

This look can also be made with necklaces and bobby pins. I have tons of this type jewelry and can send it to you for only a few dollars.

Please note, I have literally hundreds of pounds of beads, genuine pearls, rhinestones, vintage jewelry, fine jewelry and findings. Let me know what you need and I’ll help you out. I have things in every price range, yes, even free stuff! Just let me know how I can help you with your special day! Text or call me and I’ll see what I can do for you. 413-512-3714

See you soon! Congratulations on your upcoming happily ever after! I’m living my dream here too.

    Big hugs,

    Malena Chipps
