Frequently Asked Questions about our jewelry items:

Are the sterling silver and gold items real? Are they stamped?

All precious metals are genuine. We check every item for stamps, although they mean nothing in regard to actual metal content. We acid test all the items because so many are fake. This is a two step process. If an item is highly suspicious, we go beyond the scratch test to ensure it isn’t just heavily plated and lacquered. Because we take photos of hundreds of items each week, 1500 pictures every 3 days to be exact,  sometimes the stamps don’t make it into the photos. If you find our tests to be inaccurate or we have made a mistake, you are welcome to return the item at our expense. We only ask you understand the mistakes are not intentional and we hope you choose to give good feedback for our stellar service.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes, Malena can put a reseller’s costume box together for you. We don’t do much wholesale for precious metals because we buy them for higher prices than most and we want to sell them as inexpensively as possible for our customers.

Do you combine shipping?

Yes, we combine shipping. We do not mark up our shipping and only charge actual cost. If you buy 6 pairs of lightweight earrings, you will probably only paid $3.49 in shipping. What is a BEST OFFER?

We start the item at a very low price, usually a dollar or two more than what we paid for it. Auctions always go up. If you want to buy it now and not wait, submit an offer OVER starting bid, not below. Most offers over the gram weight number are approved.

If I see an item on ebay can you take it down and sell it to me privately?

No. Once the item is listed on ebay, it must be sold on ebay. If you want local pick up for those of you who know me, just let me know and I can update the system as paid when I see you.

  • Each item will be wrapped separately to avoid scratches.
  • All jewelry is cleaned and polished and will arrive in a fabric organza gift bag or jewelry box. We sell in high volume so the item may need more polishing depending on your preferences but we do our best.
  • We use private listings to keep your buying history private.
*HELPFUL INFORMATION*
  • We are not gemologists. We can’t certify the stones to be natural or created but we will give you our best opinion with the tools we have. Cut, color, carat weight and clarity are estimated with the information available to us. We do our best to identify the gemstones. We use a Presidium Gem Tested when applicable and/or a diamond beam. We do make mistakes in identification, hence why we price items low. We can’t give partial refunds or returns due to honest mistakes in the 4C’s.
  • Please be aware the magnet is by no means reliable for testing fine metals. Rhodium and other alloys used for plating can give the illusion of not being solid 925, as some plating metals have magnetic properties. We use acid and place it directly on the metal, not just a scratch test when there is a question regarding purity.
  •  Please be advised, antique and vintage jewelry is never perfect due to age and wear. If you must have a perfectly stamped item, NEW jewelry is probably best. Vintage items will always have wear and stamps are often worn off or impossible to see. This is why we acid test every item. The metals and stones often don’t look as shiny as a new “made in **” items. We always tell you to the best of our knowledge if the item is modern, vintage or antique in the title and/or description. If we don’t say it’s vintage or antique, it is safe to assume it is modern. We sell in volume, so you will always get the lowest price and the highest quality possible.
Services & Payments
  • Free Gift Wrap with personalized card (Please request this service and let us know what you want the card to say.)
  • Item are most often shipped the next day except Sunday when I fill over 50 packages, then it my take until Tuesday at 8am for all the packages to go out.
  • We require payment within 48 hours. Unpaid items after 48 hours are subject to cancellation or the unpaid assistant. If you are buying multiple items, you can shop from Sunday to Thursday and pay by Friday. Just let us know you are still shopping so we don’t cancel your order if you are over the allotted time. If you are buying multiple items, please request an invoice so you don’t over pay in shipping charges.
  • If you are buying Buy It Now items and are over charged for shipping, we will refund you. We have changed over to the Ebay payments system (all ebay sellers will be switched over in 2020). Please let us know if you have issues with paypal and we will help you fix it. Ebay says Google Chrome is best for buying. Empty your cache and cookies if you are having issues. If you are on the app, reinstall it and log back in to get the latest version.
Shipping We ship many fragile, expensive orders on a regular basis. All this is done by one person so please allow 48 hours for packaging time but 90% of all packages are sent the following morning. All packages are wrapped well so the delicate findings are not bend or broken. All jewelry comes in an organza gift bag or jewelry box. USPS rates went up this year so we now charge $3.49 for shipping the first item, then we charge by weight. All items over $100 are insured free of charge. Returns We are honest and give the best overview of the flaws we see. However, vintage and antique jewelry is never perfect. We do not give partial refunds. We ask you return the item to us in the original packaging and do not wear it. If the return is not due to one of our errors, we reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee only to deter returns that are not transparent. (So far we have not charged anyone a restocking fee.) On some expensive items, we can no longer accept returns due to a few buyers abusing the return policy. Please let us know how we can better serve you if you have a problem and we will always rectify it in a way that is pleasing to you. About Us We are a family business, not a large company. Items are listed and shipped by one person, not a staff. Please keep this in mind when messaging us. We do our best to be prompt with our communication.
